Warfarin, 5mg

I seem to be on an extreme close up/small subject/random things on my desk still life jag. This morning I woke up thinking about a conversation I was having with Dad about being on Coumadin/Warfarin (he's also on it for a heart valve problem) and on a whim decided to tip my bottle over and photograph it.
And then I started messing with it in photoshop as a masks and layers exercise. Pretty much what I did was create a layer isolating the pills themselves, and then applied different effects to the foreground or the background.

just playing with light and shadow here.

Recreating the look of a colorized b&w picture.

This one - I was rereading an article in an old Smithsonian magazine about autochrome photography so I thought it might be fun to try and recreate that look.
There truly are worse ways to cope with one's condition than to sit and try to make art out of it.
And now for something completely different!
Money!!
breakfast now, methinks.
