The trouble with pidgin's feature where you can alias a whole bunch of accounts under the same name (or under a name in general) is that if you happen to know two Mike Ds (as I do), you may very well end up talking to the wrong one about whether the comic store they work at carries card booster packs, thus incurring a good half hour of confusion on both sides.
