Any reservations I had about investing in bits of furniture that improves the well being of the house in general were banished upon beholding the site of neatly organized shoes quietly living on and around their own little shoe cubbies instead of the six foot diameter pile that was slowly taking over the living room. Craziness, how much floorspace we suddenly have in there.

I did lots of good work today - the first floor is tidy, as is my room, all the rugs are vacuumed, hell I even tidied up a little in morlock's room and put the bits of my bedframe that aren't broken away in the bathroom closet... so I need to go somewhere and sternly remind myself that the little voices that are trying to tell me I've accomplished absolutely nothing are not ones I want to be paying attention to right now.

Yay you for getting things accomplished!!! I had to buy a shoe rack too cause there is something about wearing shoes that are crushed and ran over with my rear wheel that doesn't work out too well.

There must be something in the air cause I and my reluctant nephew cleaned out the house here and let me tell you... six hours of cleaning with a nine year old is good training for... I dunno what yet but we didn't kill each other so that is a good thing.

Those shoe organizers would be much more convenient if they made any that fit high heels. Where am I supposed to put all my 5"+ stripper heels?

lol, well for boots and other things that don't fit down in the units we have the old boot rack on top. Seems to accomodate heels rather well.
