Remind me to go to Coney Island a bit more often than once every 16 or so years or so. Had entirely too much fun strolling the boardwalk and going on rides with the Stronghold and

fallenlibrarian yesterday. You know, in case you couldn't tell from the pictures. :) It had been so long since my last visit that I'd missed the fact that they pretty much tore down and rebuilt the old Stillwell Ave station and the Cyclone cost half what it does now. However, there's still that lovely sense of "wait, how old is this thing? is it going to fall apart under me?" that I remember clearly. Was spared the sunburn the rest of the party (with the obvious exceptions) took home, but somehow got a couple of nasty insect bites. One was puffed up the size of a golf ball this morming, yikes.

Today was spent running between Manhattan and Brooklyn, and I've been pretty much curled up at the tea lounge recovering since about 4. I know i'm heading home to a fairly empty House, as Dad is out partying with Girlfriend #4 or #5 and her friends tonight, lol. Least he'll be out of my hair. Think I'll spend tonight finishing up the Enchanted Forest Chronicles and falling asleep in front of the olympics. Man, Jamaica is cleaning up in track and field.

Grr. Computer is getting worse. now the track pad is misbehaving and Pidgin keeps crashing. bloody bloody hell. I think I'm gonna have to spec out a new one at this rate. Like I can afford one... *fume*
