beatgoddess & primitive_boy rented Ghost Ship tonight and though I had heard some reasonably good things about it from a friend of mine (who has this thing for Gabriel Byrne, which I share to some extent) I still sat down to watch with some skepticism. It turned out better than expected. Damned creepy children. At least in this case she wasn't evil. Gawd. If anything, old abandoned ships are much creepier than old abandoned houses, and this realization alone is making me kinda regret seeing the movie after dark, the movie itself wasn't all that scary.
Got through an impressive chunk of Cryptonomicon. The story's starting to move along at a fairly good clip now. Perhaps there is hope of me finishing the damn thing, though between putting in superextra hours at work in a valient attempt to get on top of all of the projects I am now currently behind on, and going over to the old house to scrub and clean to Maladjusted Lint Ball's standards, it probably won't be this week. Aw. Shit. Forgot how much this week is gonna suck. Suddenly, not sleeping sounds good.
Hmm, maybe I'll listen to Strong Bad's Techno a couple more times to make myself feel better . . .
