Hot lazy sunday . . .
Jul. 27th, 2003 08:23 pmTaking a quick break in the midst of dishes to check email and Livejournal. Figured I'd drop a note.
We didn't get to the mall today, but that was all good - I more felt like loafing around the house anyway. And loaf I did, ladies and gentlemen, loaf I did. Despite
sundart and I not getting to sleep until nearly 3 last night *smirk* my eyes were open a little bit after 8 am this morning. Except for getting up for breakfast, I didn't really leave bed until 1, when I at last tore through the final pages of Kushiel's Avatar and cried at the end. What a fabulous trilogy . . . I'm just sorry there isn't more to follow, though I hear Jacqueline Carey's working on something new. Fuck. I need to be writing this shit, not reading it. *growl*
other than that, a fairly uneventful day. Watched bits and pieces of The 200 Greatest Pop Culture Icons with
primitive_boy (gotta love Sunday cable programming, or lack thereof) and marvelled at how much money they had to spend paying someone to do all 200 fabulous caricatures of famous people. The design production on that show was really cool - and I admit it, I love entertainment shows . . . to an extent. Played some Bop It. Took some pickers of
sundart and her new frames so everyone could see how oh-so-cute she looks with them (one has been posted in her livejournal). Decided that our room in the morning has fabulous photography light. Must play with this discovery more, and
sundart proves a very willing model.
And speaking of photographs . . . we found the really important of the several pictures from
birkwelch's visit a couple of years ago, the one where he,
sundart and I are sitting in beatgoddess' erstwhile bathtub at two houses ago, worshiping the Fat, aka Kali, Queen of the Universe. Major bounce. Now if I can only find the couple where we dressed him up for Haven, I'll be all set. :)
Gotta go, dinner's ready!
