last night

Despite the multiple posting madness that can only signal the fact that I am procrastinating rampantly, I got quite a few things done: a load of laundry, the dishes, dinner, the trash, putting together a playlist on my nomad, pricing accessories for it. I did a couple of things kinda half-assed: I meant to thoroughly cornroe my hair in preparation for the inevitable yarning that will follow this weekend. (I so don't feel like myself without it...) but instead just gave it a good brushing and braided it for the night. And I only put a coat or two of clear on my nails and went to bed when the top coat was still tacky apparently because now at least three of my nails have a comforter imprint on them. Bah. Will have to fix that before work.

Am peeved. I can't find my big headphones. How am I supposed to wander through downtown starry eyed and gaspy listening to sappy sappy songs? I started that mix last night but I haven't arranged the tracks yet. Will post when I do. I suppose it doesn't matter. It looks like more drizzle today anyway. Will be biking to work. bleh. At least today I've got my bike, unlike yesterday when I had to beg a lift from beatgoddess.

Speak of the devil, she has made French toast. I must go away and eat.

So someone put a Nieman Marcus holiday catalog in the bathroom at work last week, and today I made the mistake of leafing curiously through it... What. The. Fuck. Is. Wrong. With. Rich. People??? There was a pair of cute pants that I liked with red thread embroidery and little shell buttons all over the legs, but lets have some perspective here, they were polyester/lycra. Wal-mart fabric. You'd pay maybe 15 bucks for them there, and hopefully if you're a nice person spare a prayer for the 12 year old maquiladora girl that stitched them together over in East Bumfuck, Indonesia. Meanwhile these fuckers are charging $390 bucks, and I seriously doubt it's for fair trade purposes. Politics aside though - $390????? FOR A PAIR OF POLYFUCKINGESTER PANTS??????
