All right, I've really had it now.

So, a short summary of what all is wrong with me at this very second:

1) cough. Sometimes wet, sometimes dry, always painful. I now have a constant dull ache in my chest and throat and no voice to speak of.

2) I ache all over actually. All my muscles have locked up in that extra special way they do when you're ill, and it hurts to move, and when I do I feel like I'm moving through water instead of air, as everything feels way too heavy. Not to mention I now am totally oversensitive, like my sense of touch has ramped up two hundred percent, and this pilly sweatshirt I'm currently wearing is driving me crazy. I don't quite feel like someone's overdosed me with safframate yet, but that was the first image that came to mind. (If you're scratching your head, read Anne Bishop's Black Jewels Trilogy and understanding will be yours.)

3) great. Now my nose is stuffy. Just what I need, yet another thing hindering my ability to suck down oxygen.

4) my left ankle, always a little dodgy since I quit ballet years ago, is acting up. Every so often I'll have days when I can't put any weight on it because the joint, for lack of a better description, feels like it's in wrong. Of course it chooses now to act up.

5) low grade worry about the leftover work I still have to do at the office, but I'm still too fucked up to go in.

6) No real appetite. Basically I've been choking down food and tea mostly because warm things are soothing. Not that it does me any good, as, like my nervous system, my digestive tract is in overdrive, and therefore I can't seem to keep anything in it for more than a couple of hours.

7) all this and understandably I can't seem to catch more than a couple of house here and there of sleep.

So yeah. At this point, I think the pack would be leaving my ass to feed the wolves. And I'm just at the point where I don't really care.

I go drink tea now. and I'm going to the doctor tomorrow.
