dead clan elders

I was just contemplating my sleepwear as I firmly reasoned with the 'fro... and the thought occurred to me that there must be some outraged Scotsmen spinning about at power drill speeds in their graves because their clan plaids are being mass produced into pajamas. Naturally what followed in my brain was "what's red and green and blue and yellow and white, goes one hundred miles an hour, and plays 'Scotland the Brave?'" "A bagpiper in the blender."

A bit of randomness in what is shaping up to be an extremely odd, but quite pleasant day...

Bring me me haggis, mother....

The only reason I'm posting right now is because I think the drunk kitty is mad cute and I so do like the rare opportunities I can use it. :)

My sisters left me a bottle of Piper champagne as a graduation present. After spilling a chunk of it on the floor, I got through maybe 3/5ths of it before birkwelch took the bottle away from me and sundart insisted that I at least have dinner before finishing. There was also half of a kahlua mudslide involved, but I can't rightly recall when that happened.

I don't understand what's so bad about being a cheap drunk. All the jollies on less substance. Bah. A pox on all y'alls that can hold ye liquor!

... although I'm going to be both seriously pissed off and disappointed if by the time I get to the bottom of the Piper I'm not drunk enough to call my sister back. Shit. Maybe I should by rights have bought a bottle of Baileys or something while we were at State Street earlier. I mean, damn it, they call this stuff liquid courage; the least it could do is live up to its name...

ah well. *sigh*
