kjpepper: (Heap of Trouble)
So this morning as I'm eating my breakfast (always a bad idea if you're going to read LJ - there's always the risk of a stray [livejournal.com profile] bashorg quote and then breakfast being spewed across laptop in a fit of hilarity), I run across the following in g.g.'s journal.
The roommie and I ... saw a preview for Blade III. Yep. Wesley Snipes Warrior Princess strikes again. We are so there.
This, among other reasons, is why I love that woman. :)

(g.g., may I post this to [livejournal.com profile] metaquotes?)

Today is Pagan Pride day apparently. Damn, wish someone had told me before I'd booked myself for an afternoon of stay-at-home Cinderniggering (well, I's gots to do the laundry sometime!)

And now for the rest of you that haven't collapsed in horror at the above, some serious stuff.

[livejournal.com profile] sundart and I spent a good chunk of the afternoon looking at rings. Yes, that kind. o_O I'm still dubious about doing the whole legally married song and dance, as parts of that still squick me a lot. But... we have been together for the better part of a decade, and we have been thinking about making it more "official," if not entirely legal. I keep cracking jokes about us caving to pressure between [livejournal.com profile] athene/[livejournal.com profile] lordaerith, [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat/[livejournal.com profile] morlock and most recently [livejournal.com profile] purplegryphon/[livejournal.com profile] rhiannondance (who still haven't friended me back, bah*). Mmmm, peer pressure.... now chug this, there's a girl.

Seriously I've been doing some heavy thinking about relationships as all of mine have been evolving, devolving, or in general changing as these things are wont to do, and as always constantly evaluating and reevaluating what all of them mean. Also it's kind of interesting how much thinking/worrying/overanalyzing you do when you go from being poly-in-theory to being poly-in-practice. [livejournal.com profile] sundart and I have been struggling through that for a little more than a year, and it seems to at last be settling down in some fashion. I'm also working on dealing with the whole jealousy factor - mine and other people's. Of course I haven't come to any conclusions or anything yet, but it's like Norton - running in the background when everything else is idle or asleep. I'll probably post more if/when I do come to any epiphanies...

Anycrap. The laundry's unbalancing, which means the gods are telling me to continue my kitchen witchery. Happy Pagan Pride, y'alls. I'll see you next year. :)

* I'm not sure why that bugs me, but it does - probably has something to do with the fact that both of their comment pages are friends-only so all attempts to congratulate them have been summarily denied. Feh.
