so much stuff

I'm having one of those moments where I'm actually too caught up in Real Life™ to sit here and have much needed brainspew... and there is so much up in my head that needs to go on paper, but I've haven't really had the time nor the inclination to sit down and empty my head properly.

So many people leaving in the next couple of days. gossamer_gull and darkling_dreams are both departing the country tomorrow morning (safe safe trip, y'alls), ergo beatgoddess is also gone. Friday sundart goes to Virginia. I'll have the house to myself for the weekend, how scary is that? Here's hoping I get inspired and do my usual thing where I go batshit from too much of my own company and clean something. :)

It also seems like everyone, including to a certain extent myself, is having a little-cloud-of-shit period right now... so to all pertinent parties, huge hugs. It will get better. Probably when the rain stops. I tell you, it was soothing to fall asleep to last night, but no fun to be wandering around in today, it being all cold and rainy, and me with knees showing today. Although amusingly enough it wasn't my legs that got cold (knee socks are such wonderful things - especially when stripey), it was my hands. Need to put a pair of gloves into the coat pocket.

I love making sundart happy. There is no word for the expression of true joy shining from her eyes other than "starry."

On the up note, there will be movies and cornroe and girls' night in with sundart and sydneycat tonight. And by golly, there will be sundart's famous whole wheat pancakes. This will be a good evening. Yes. *decisive nod*

Quiet time

sydneycat and sundart and I had dinner, scrabble and cuddlins under blanket and gabbing.

I have tricked out my phone in sufficient geekoliciousness. It's all about finding MIDI files from Castlevania as ringtones. My geek is bigger than your penis officially.

At that odd state of mind between mellow and sad. It's a strange little state, kinda like Rhode Island, except with the bland landscape of Iowa. It's not necessarily a bad feeling, just weirdly heavy and quiet. *sigh* I'm sensing a blizzard of introspection coming down the pipe for me.
