Happy Halloween/Samhain!

Spending a rather quiet and uneventful Samhain inside with sundart. Which is fine actually - I don't think ultimately I would have been up to teh trick or treating even if we had something planned. As it is, I'm listening to the passing kiddiboos out the window and hoping they're having a marvelous time.

We have a little household altar set up with candles, offerings and pics of the loved ones that are gone but not forgotten. Sunny's taking pics, I'll probably post later. The cats, irreverent beasts that they are, have been running away with bits of it all day, and I'm sure I'll catch one of them graciously helping Mom out with her offering of Breyer's Natural Vanilla (her favorite) or running away with Mary Elizabeth's vibrator. *chuckle*

I'm spending the evening dedicating myself to the task of de-icking the kitchen floor. It's rather ridiculous, there's a clear demarcation between the bits I've done and the bits I haven't gotten to yet. Well, we have a string mop now, so the washings will be happening more often. *nod* also swept the hardwood parts of the house and scrubbed the bathroom floor as well. I may be a chaos goddess, but I do appreciate an nice clean NON SCARY floor.

One kitchen floor thoroughly de-icked. Cindernigger is officially off for the night. Ow, my knees. Jesus. Several bits of that floor were NASTY. But they're all clean now. Whoohoo! Now to dedicating the rest of my evening de-icking myself and a little fro tame-age.

Today sunny and I wandered down to King Street in pursuit of Stop n Shop cause the Casita needed some grossfairies. A twenty minute trip ended up taking an hour cause we kept stopping. First at the ATM so I could get money, then at Dunkin donuts so I could get coffee and sundart could get water. And then outside the Dunkin Donuts we ran into an ailing mornhyland, who's having back issues and shouldn't have been out of bed (you silly girl!), and then maybe fifty feet further along King Street the eclecTruck suddenly pops a Uey and pulls over next to us, and out hops Bosslady, and we spent about ten minutes chatting with her. And then we got to Stop and Shop. And I ran into someone ELSE I knew. Wow, the size of this town keeps shrinking, I swear. Most days I'm a little appalled by that, but today it was nice. And I liked having the time to chill with sundart after nearly a week of being away, plus I enjoy going to the store with her.

Myearrh! We have food in the house now. Ph33r our foody goodness.

So yeah. The plan for the rest of the evening is that I'm going to chill. Tomorrow I'm going to work in the morning, then I'll spend the day roaming about by meself somewhere, possibly Look Park, who knows. Haven't decided about the evening; technically I'm supposed to see morlock on Mondays but as of now I'm feeling kinda antisocial and an evening off might be good for him too. So... we'll see.

Surreal moment of the day: I realized while perusing the Pyramid Collection that I can now fit into those drooly goth dresses they sell that I've coveted for years and bitched because they didn't come in bigger sizes. There's a frightening concept. I'm so not used to suddenly being smaller - I was quite comfy being a 20, not to mention that I'm totally torqued about several cherished items of clothing now hanging off me. I think most of what's making me a little wibbly about it is that I'm not doing this on purpose, so finding myself shrinking is a little on the alarming side.

Ah well. Not that I'm going to buy the dresses anyway. If it isn't my size keeping me out of them, it's my budget. :/ meh.

Ooooh! random really good thing of the day - I talked to aisha7576 today for the first time in FOREVER, like yay. We spent about half an hour catching up and of course didn't finish, since we hadn't talked in months. Anyway, next weekend when I nip down to NY we're going to get together which is wonderful because it's literally been a couple of years since I've seen her. Whee.

sundart's makin' dinner, thank the Goddess. After all that floor scrubbing, I'm seriously starving.

wonder when g.g.'s coming home, I miss her ass (and the rest of her), and I want to know how England went.
