Y'know, situation comedy has never been as funny, well written, or provocative as it was in the 1970s.
I'm watching Barney Miller on Comcast OnDemand and thoroughly enjoying it, and also mourning the fact the sitcoms have died painfully under the axe of political correctness. The weird bit is that the casts of these shows were way more diverse than they are now. I mean... well, lets face it, Barney Miller's 12th precinct would be way whiter in reality. But still, the good natured racial banter between the cast is one of the things that makes the show. It would so not fly now.
Anyway... I've spent today redoing my web site, fighting with
sundart, fixing
anzovin's laptop, being bitchy to
morlock, and being utterly cranky and antisocial. I'm not really sure why I'm in such a bad mood even, unless it's caffiene withdrawal...
