Okay, someone explain to me why exactly I stayed up until 2:15 to watch Session 9? I mean it's worthy of one of mine and [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat's Wednesday night movies, but oh my gawd, I kinda want to scrub my head out with a brillo pad right now. My brain is thoroughly scrambled now, and I'm a little spooked about the fact that there's one of those creepy rambling state mental hospitals up the road from me.

Toast, tea and bed for me, I think.

... that I totally pwn [livejournal.com profile] sundart's ass right now and since she's in Amherst she doesn't even know it.

Why do you ask? well, at some point in our journey yesterday after [livejournal.com profile] sundart took off on her own, we went into Newbury Comics. I haven't been in the Amherst one very much, but I have a soft spot for the chain in general... a) their selection of posters and weird stuff is just massively cool and b) my first trip to Boston evar included a jaunt down Newbury St, so I got to go to the original store. I don't know, I guess it resonates, considering that was my first trip, like, anywhere without my mother in tow, so something about Newbury Comics kinda resonates hey, independance. Does that make any sense? If not just leave it at the cool shit they have. :)

Anyway, there are scads of DVDs to be explored once hitting the doorway and [livejournal.com profile] morlock and I saw it... marked used, the box sets of Babylon 5. After a playful tussle over the first season, and later one minor snafu over the price... I now own... OWN the first season.

I love this series... it kinda jumped the shark at the end of the second season, but the characters rock... Ivonova (mmm, Ivanova!), Delenn, Lennier (who's played by one half of the duo reponsible for "Fish Heads" believe it or not), and of course G'kar and Londo are so fucking awesome. And for being done in the early 90s, the computer animation has held up shockingly well. Looking forward to watching it, perhaps a Bab5 night's in the works?

sunny's just gonna loooooooooooooove me to death later. *evil cackle*
kjpepper: (don't panic)
Today I have to...

...finish the laundry
...clean the shower curtain
...go to the bank, then to [livejournal.com profile] morlock's cause I owe him a scad of cash for yesterday
...possibly stop at work

I was invited to see Sin City again with [livejournal.com profile] sundart and [livejournal.com profile] anzovin, but I think I may skip it... I need to scale back the whole socializing thing - I've been doing far too much of it lately. Well no... but I do need a bit of a break from folk this week to get my bearings. Bad week to do it, considering there's meetup on Tuesday and I think the five of us were marching out to see Sahara on Wednesday, so I don't know.

holy shit I'm hungry. bye...

Well lets see. Laundry still in progress, nasty shower curtain 98% de-icked and drying, [livejournal.com profile] morlock has been paid back. In the process, added 13 more miles to my ticker - if I count yesterday's 17 or so, maybe I can start biking to Rivendell and still pass [livejournal.com profile] gossamer_gull somewhere along the way (where were you, chickie?) Need new odometer if I'm gonna do that tho. I should probably also take Bellenoire for a tuneup as well come to think of it, see if they can tighten my handlebars a bit. Well, maybe next week. I also managed to cut my nails while I was at it - why is it that the thumbs and the pinkies seem to get the longest the fastest? Anyway, I was cutting myself with them. The only reason they get a mention is that I actually cut and filed them as opposed to biting them off like I usually do - I'm going to break that habit if it kills me.

I stopped at Dunkin Donuts on my way home and treated myself to a large coffee, a bagel and a maple frosted donut. I was rather shocked by how nasty-sweet the donut was, but thinking back I really have cut my sugar consumption significantly in the past month so I shouldn't be all surprised when things that were just fine in february are now kinda gross. But the coffee and bagel? pure bliss, and a lovely Sunday treat... I forget sometimes to just go out and be by myself sometimes - I do enjoy my little moments of solo indulgence.

Later, I think, will be finishing the laundry, washing some dishes, and ugh, showering again once I put the curtain back up. I think having salt crystals form on my face after a bike ride is a good sign that I need to drink more water. Then maybe some chill time with the girl... whom i think just came home? Maybe. There's some mad tacklehugging that needs to be accomplished in which case. But anyway, go me - I managed to get the few things I wanted to get done actually done this weekend.
