GPRS finally works. and by the grace of 3gupload.com, my phone sounds like it should. The sixth level opening from Castlevania IV (SNES) as my normal ringtone, the Addams Family theme for anyone related to me by blood calling, and just cause it's funny, the Muppet Show theme for one particular person. :)

Ok. This finally, FINALLY feels like my phone.

breakfast now.

The gods obviously take great glee in copiously pooping on everything i do/touch/enjoy. Stupid week. *sigh*

sure, I'll take Gail. )

Conversely from a few days ago, today was sort of Shakespearean comedyish. Started ok, got yucky in the middle, ended ok. The Saturday pajama shift went ok, and then I got on Bellenoire and rode to [livejournal.com profile] morlock's. Wow. Usually I don't break a sweat riding from Northampton to Hadley, but this time... I still didn't break a sweat, but by the time I'd crossed West Street I was getting dizzy, and when I finally got where I was going all I could think of was being horizontal as soon as possible. Not to mention that on the way my inner ears started to absolutely kill me. They're still a little sore now, but jeez, yeeeowch.

knee length biketard rides up like fuck. Think I'ma stick to full leg ones in the future. Stupid thighs.

Spent the day chilling at [livejournal.com profile] morlock's instead of going riding some more. We were going to go down to Lower Warzone, as [livejournal.com profile] beatgoddess calls it, to look at new cars for him since his brakes cost more than anyone can afford to fix right now, but then [livejournal.com profile] cell23 and [livejournal.com profile] chirping_monkey and their spawn came over spontaneously and so we wound up not going... That baby is ridiculously cute. Especially when she grabs two big handfuls of my hair in her chubby little hands and very carefully and solemnly inspects it strand by strand before either letting go or yanking hard up and down on it while letting out this precious toothless gurgle of utter delight. Good thing black women don't have nerve sensors in their scalps after age 7.

The rest of the day... was off kilter and icky. Nobody's fault but... *sigh* that whole hiding from society in general thing is sounding really good right now. Actually, spending all of tomorrow hiding in bed with books and [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat's GBA is sounding ridiculously wonderful right now. 'Cause on the Wonderful Island of Bed, no one demands anything from me, no one says seriously hurtful shit that stays with me for days, no one triggers me being guilty for being with the boy, and no one takes my head off without warning over something minor. And that was just people today *sigh* as if I hadn't been dealing with that all week.

Maybe I am getting sick and irritable. Meh.

But the day did end in an upnote. The next clear Saturday I highly recommend those around the Valley go up to the Amherst College Observatory where they have stargazing and big assed telescopes set up and anyone can go. We saw star clusters, double stars, lunar craters, Saturn (with rings!), jupiter (with equatorial cloud bands and 4 moons!)... and my goodness but the main telescope they have is a big fucker. That part was massively cool and made up for the gaggy bits of today.

beatgoddess just gave me a small figure of Shang from Mulan. "I thought you needed a gay Chinese man," she said. Apparently so, and we do so love B.D. Wong.

Holy shit, I'm utterly, utterly exhausted. Bed now.
