(no subject)

heh. Did anyone else notice that the cheeky monkeys over at Google managed to combine the Olympics and Venereal Disease Day into one doodle? Very nicely done, if I do say so myself.

after work there will be a very quick coffee with captainlove, whom I ran into on my way to work this morning, then home to have pink holiday goodness with the family. :)

VD day - a recap

First a moment of silence for the passing of Andreas Katsulas... We will miss you, G'Kar. Oh, we will miss you.

Well, really my VD day didn't actually get started until after work. Well no, I tell a lie. sundart packed me lunch with lots of my favorite things in it. PB&J, O'Soy, cherry coke. Yay.

After work was a little last minute shopping, then meeting captainlove for cannoli and conversation. (No that is not purposely alliterative.) I think the dessert date was a good move, as both of us needed to unwind after our workdays. (Mine wasn't bad, mind, just... tense.) And he's always good for conversation, though he seemed rather alarmed when he saw me. Apparently I've dropped some weight in the face since December. *sigh* I really need to get that checked out, yikes, though honestly, it's probably just stress...

Anycrap, neither the conversation nor the cannoli disappointed, and on a whim I stopped at Cingular to deliver bits of morlock's valentine in person. After he got all finished at work, it was home for us, where we gathered briefly with the entire amoeba to exchange schmoopiness. I received a GC for modernmyths and chocolate from Han&Leia, a gorgeous handmade card from sundart plus lunch and chocolate and more o'Soy, an amethyst necklace from morlock by way of the hoobajoolery talents of chirping_monkey (not to mention squee-worthy messages all day and a super sweet moment in the car before we came upstairs).

Course for me it's always really about giving stuff out rather than getting... Cards, sweet smelling roses, LOTS of chocolate and two very silly M&M lunch boxes were dispensed and appreciated. Plus I put in some technical and photographic assistance through the past couple of weeks to sydneycat's project for her three Valentine's... I took some portraits of sydneycat that came out rather fantastic if I do say so myself (I'll post a couple of the less intimate shots at some point)... and now I just want to take more pictures of people... volunteers?

anyways, all my partners/sweeties/nearest and dearest are tucked into bed, and it is time I went to sleep as well. Hugs and kisses and love to all on this most pink and schmoopy of holidays.
