Even though it's sort of a meaningless crock of shit these days, and an excuse for the Amherst hippies to gather on the common, sell stuff, and sing the praises of weed. Which doesn't really bother me, since a) they aren't nearly as loud as the Christians last weekend and b) they're going to get rained out later anyway. Some of them could probably use the shower.

... of course the Christians were coherent.

also a rousing HAPPY BIRTHDAY to [livejournal.com profile] darkling_dreams. May your birthday be hippie free.

I think I'm going to go to sleep in self defense. <cartman>goddamn hippies</cartman>
kjpepper: (for the birds)
so far today we have heard Bob Marley, Rage against the Machine, and now the Grateful Dead being butchered by dreadlocked white boys in the name of the wacky weedus. I can't decide whether to be amused, horrified or annoyed.

In other news, where the fuck is my wallet? It's been about a week now and neither it nor my ipod have shown up in the usual places yet. :( I doubt I actually lost them, just stuck them in The Safe Place, but it's really annoying right now because I know I had ten bucks in the wallet and I could really use something dead right now. Honestly I've had visions of Japanese steak dancing in my head, but for that I'd need a wee bit more than ten bucks. Still. arrrghmrrrflegimmenow.

[Edit] okay, the hippies have redeemed themselves by playing "America! Fuck Yeah!" *snort*

Gray day

Today I did pretty much absolutely nothing. I got a ton of sleep, farted about on the internet, cursed the Extravaganja outside, trimmed much of the fluff off of my dumb blonde boycat (much to his discomfiture) and even braved the rain for a bit to fetch Chinese food for me and the sunny. (so yes. I did get the beef I was whining for all day - not to mention there are leftovers for tomorrow. Squeee.) I dunno, today was just so gray and gloomy that it was kind of perfect for mooching about, feeding the PMS monster with craptons of Dove caramels (thank you, [livejournal.com profile] htl_1126!), brooding, and sleeping.

Tomorrow should prove to be more of the same, though I hope to get a bit more accomplished tomorrow than today. Though according to the cute little quasi-fortunes they have in the Dove wrappers, it is okay to do nothing sometimes. I agree, today's exercise in utter lethargy hasn't hurt me much. :)

And now, due to raging headache (prolly from the Chinese - stupid MSG) I am going to bed early. Again. Well, as long as I don't make a habit of it - I have a deeply cherished rep as a nightowl to maintain.
