Aug. 27th, 2006 12:28 amwell, C and R are done with season one of Lost. I'm glad I watched it, as I'd sort of skimmed through the last four or five episodes the first time around, and look forward to catching up on season two. Meanwhile must not go out and buy both this soundtrack and the one for Idlewild.
Actually that got me thinking a bit... about incidental music. A couple of the themes used in Lost reminded me a bit of the random assortment of instrumental and goth music
darkling_dreams used to score our Vancouver game, much of which was taken from various anime and game soundtracks. (makes sense, considering the guy who scored Lost started by scoring video games.) Made me start thinking, huh, maybe I should think about running my New York game but then I caught myself and was like, holy crap. too many other irons in the fire. Incidentally I queried MLCAD about the size of my LEGO model house and got back that it's about 33x14x19 inches so far (all I've built is the attic!). O_o Even if by some miracle I manage to amass the crazy number of bricks needed to build this thing IRL (not on my current budget!), where the hell am I going to put this thing when I'm done? It's going to be the size of a large end table! *chuckle* I should have started with a bungalow, maybe, not the Addams Family-esque victorian. :P
I also managed to get sucked into
sydneycat's and
inle_rah's Project Runway marathon on DVD. Watching any sort of TV where
sydneycat's involved is a bit like that scene in Clerks 2... "I'm repulsed and disgusted... and yet I can't look away." (Especially if Trauma Life in the ER is on.) Project runway is such a big over the top train wreck too. course there was a very funny moment where in an attempted escape the fashion drama I went downstairs to get this week's EW only to find that their cover story was on Project Runway this week. Somewhere in that moment of discovery I could hear the malicious titter of some trickster god(dess) in the corner.
gotta go, it's go-to-diner-with-crazy-gamers night.
