(no subject)

As about six fire trucks raced south on Pleasant street last night followed by what seemed to be the entire Amherst PD and at least one ambulance, my only thought was something along the lines of "The kids are back in town..." (yes, sung like "the boys are back in town.")

last night was full of Legos, Lost, House, losing my temper, interesting deep conversation... It's always fascinating and fun watching the boyos converse about shit. C and I were treated to anzovin and morlock discussing boundaries, male modes of behavior, and the law of Domain last night. I swear the five of us should get together, have popcorn or something and debate shit sometimes - I kinda miss the whole sitting around as a group and chatting about stuff.

After which there were bon-bons and Tetris. both of which were yummy cause they were Breyers bon-bons and morlock was unusually off his game so by the end there I was kicking his ass pretty consistently. Now if he could find his Mario Kart cartridge and I get a handle on drifting, maybe I could kick his ass in that game too. Maybe.

Why has no one beaten me with the omnibus edition of His Dark Materials and then forced me to read it before now? I'm in the middle of The Golden Compass and absolutely loving it.
