kjpepper: (a panther in winter)
I've got a lot of journal spew to do. Lawdy.

First off, if anyone a) plays wow b) is in need of a good giggle or c) all of the above, go to youtube.com and look up user spiffworld. This guy does music videos for Jonothan Coulton songs by splicing together WoW footage in pertinently hilarious ways. Worth looking. And the songs themselves are hilarious. I've personally had "re: Your Brains" stuck in my head for the better part of two days. Considering the chord progression I think it's going to show up on Guitar Hero 3. ;) But other choice bits of hilarity (with or without video) are "First of May," "Creepy Doll," "Codemonkey" (ah, my life, set to music) and "Skullcrusher Mountain."

[livejournal.com profile] inle_rah is right. Every version of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" is depressing. Sheesh. Oh well, I love the song anyway.

So tonight [livejournal.com profile] extrajoker, [livejournal.com profile] inle_rah, [livejournal.com profile] sundart and I piled into ej's car and drove around Hadley, Amherst, Belchertown and Palmer on a hunt for tacky Christmas decor. I'm sure inle will have pictures of the hilarity that ensued, like the tall pine tree that was festooned with a single string of lights, a serious spike in the light up animatronic deer population (next year they're going to need animatronic light up hunters to thin down the population a bit), one frightening inflatable Spongebob Squarepants wearing a santa hat, sig heiling santas and snowmen and the house of maybe 20 inflateable figures in the yard. Not to mention unplanned hilarity with misplaced blinkenlights. Seriously, who needs Bright Nights when there are crazy people with animatronic polar bears just down the road? :) After we tired ourselves out with the giggling, we had dinner at Friendly's, and a good night was had by all, which was much needed because sundart's day was shitty and mine was long and a little nervewracking, so a good evening was quite welcome and needed.

Oh, and I fixed the video drivers in anzovin's computer after an eight hour reinstall of WoW did nothing to help the graphic blarg that was happening, discovering in the process that they had probably been broken since before I started playing. No matter, I can go kill things now, so staying up until four in the morning beating this thing into submission last night was totally worth it. Yay!

Lessee, other news... Not all that much. Working tomorrow night and going to see MC Chris on Sunday night with sydmor. PRESS A! ha ha ha.

...that's all I really got. Possibly more later.
