how not to spend Tuesday night
Jan. 16th, 2007 10:10 pmWaiting for a bus for forty minutes on the first actually freezing day of the winter, and then subsequently spending an hour and a half on said bus because they aren't letting traffic across the Coolidge Bridge because of one fuck of an accident (3 cars, 1 flipped over, no word on injuries yet). Then another 45 on the next scheduled bus, which hangs out for a bit, then is finally rerounted up through sunderland and back down 116.
Yeesh.
I'll have to admit the part where the bus was rerouted up 91 was kinda fun... city buses never get to go above 40 usually, so it's damn weird being on the PVTA going 65+. (bus says "WHEE!!!") I'm sure lots of people on 91 at around 7:30 were like WTF?
Being half frozen when I got home due to sitting in the drafty bit of the bus was not fun however. I'm still somewhat thawing out two-ish hours later, and that after morlock threw his hoodie, his sweatpants (warmed in the dryer even), and his slippers on me. And I was all good and called in my perscription ahead of time today and by the time I got to Amherst the pharmacy was closed. Crud.
And now, time to play some Burning crusade, now that the damn thing has FINALLY finished installing.
