Because, you know. I could always use yet another pissed off icon. :) Well, this is more psychotic than pissed off, but that's what the facial expression said to me when I shrank it to icon size.

The avatars, btw, can be created at http://simpsonsmovie.com/ I find it funny that I essentially ended up with the same avatar as [livejournal.com profile] mere except for a different T-shirt and darker skin. I forgot how hideous Simpsons hair actually is, especially if you're trying to go for something with texture.

Oh and that little problem I've been mildly stressing over all week? Resolved.

Hmm

I am trying to make some headway into the remaining boxes in my room currently. It's slow going, as I have to sort of constantly reapply myself to the task. A good indication of the job's necessity and also of how difficult it is to stay on it is the fact that some of the stuff I'm currently going through hasn't really seen the light of day since, oh two or three moves ago. I shit you not, I just threw away address labels that still had the Williams Street address on them. I'm so glad I've gotten to the point where I can throw away things and not feel bad about it. Not everything, mind you, but more than I would have a few years ago. I am appalled anew by the sheer amount of half-used notebooks I own(ed), for example. Gods. I refuse to willingly inherit my mother's pack rat tendancies.

As always when such a purge occurs, a few items of interest show up. Bead patterns I generated three years ago using just patience and photoshop, including the witch, so I can do her again, better. Even more interesting, a folder containing pictures painstakingly cut from catalogues and magazines of people/things I found interesting or pretty. Wow have my tastes changed in the past five years.

Here's the really interesting thing though. A subset of the pictures of people were the very beginnings of my character cards for the tabletop New York by night game I kept meaning to run for SODA (my old Vampire group) and never quite got around to. Much of what made this interesting was because the idea had come up again with [livejournal.com profile] sundart and I while we were at Bonding, and it's been kind of percolating in the back of my head since especially since during that conversation I had an idea as to where it could start. Finding the proto character cards again is just fuelling the fire as I remembered the bare sketches of possible plots I had already come up with when I started amassing the pictures, gods, what, six years ago? Anyway... I'm thinking about it again, and may start reading the WoD fourth ed books with an eye towards running it. Originally I was going to run it in 3rd ed Vampire, but I think I might run it in 4th ed WoD now. We'll see. Anyways. If I get my act together enough this time, would anyone in the area be interested in playing? (Let's say I'd be ready to start in late September.)

And now, back to the grind.
