Was quite with the excellent. New people to chat up, hug, cuddle and flirt with is always a happy thing (and there was much of all of the above aplenty), and i was way nice to meet a bunch of the Order in person. And now that our Fearless Leader has a not busted monitor we can get back into gaming as a GROUP again, rock on!
Transformers was... let's put it this way, from the moment Blackout reveals himself and starts pretty much pwning everything, my jaw was pretty much on the floor. Hells yeah. You could just sort of TELL that even when everyone had to be all "oh shit oh shit giant robots" underneath the surface was a simmering "HOLY HELL YEAH I'M IN THE TRANSFORMERS MOVIE HOW COOL IS THAT SHIT." I deeply appreciate movies where the actors are clearly into what they're doing, even if the movie itself isn't the best. Hell, in some cases *cough*DOOM*cough* it's the movie's one saving grace. This one, the movie was pretty awesome anyway, so nyeh. Go see it, if you already haven't.
Hmm. I once again draw the paralell between songs I like to dance/bike to being excellent road songs. I have therefore dedicated the iPod Shuffle I've inherited from sydneycat to the cause of filling it with what I consider to be excellent songs to drive/bike/dance/move in general to, which is good because very high on my priority list in terms of projects is a) biking a hell of a lot more and b) sucking it up and fucking finally getting licensed already. Music will be very important components of both activities. I pretty much made up my mind about the latter on the trip back, and honestly not just because I'm sick of being trapped by the limitations of busses, but also... I've been waiting almost thirty years to be the absolute master of the radio. I know that sounds silly and juvenile, but damn it, I would really like my turn to torment my passengers kthx. Hey, people have worse reasons for learning to drive.
I'm going to watch the Rock Band demo again I think...
