And so it begins

Starting with Jaicat coming in today (YAYAYAYAYAYAYAAAAAAAY) the influx of people coming in for the wedding begins, and holy shit there is work to be done. Now I'm glad I took today off, since apparently Supernegro has to come to save the day. ;)

Anyway. Today's to-do list

• Get new shower liner. The one currently in the bathroom is pretty well nigh unsalvagable at this point and even if it weren't I sure as hell ain't gonna scrub it. obtained, though not put up - had to go to Stop and shop to get it, which meant I squeezed a lovely bike ride and some Boston Market turkey into the day.
  
• assess the status of that lovely tub and tile cleaner in the house. Get some if nonextant. We have some. Mildew buster with bleach. This stuff better work - if I have to be killing baby seals, that bathtub better shine like the top of the Chrysler building when I'm done. Sparkle Sparkle!
  
• help S clean bob's cage - S hasn't gotten up as of 2:45 PM. I am amused. maybe when S comes in from downtown.
  
• do laundry. Including my bed linen and bath mat last loads are in! One load still to try, another to come upstairs.
  
• clean all fixtures in both bathrooms.  Done! The bathroom may smell like bleach forever, but damn it it's clean. Sweep upstairs bathroom floor, as kitty litter is everywhere. Someone else can do this bit though, as House Negress is now officially off duty.
  
• vacuum my room and water plants.

right. Best get dressed get some breakfast and get crackin.

EDIT - 2:45: I have made some progress, though not as much as I'd like. I would officially like to throw my panties at Google Desktop now - not only do I have very pretty virtual tulips blooming on my desktop at work, the Laundry Timer gadget I downloaded this morning turned out to be rather intensely helpful.

EDIT - 4:43: I think I've used enough bleach today between the Ajax and the Lysol mildew remover to wipe out the several million species of bacteria incubating in the East River singlehandedly. No longer do my own carpet nor the horrible state of the bathtub drive me bananas. The one complaint is that the shower liner I got today is a bit too short, people are going to have to make extra sure it's tucked in before they shower. I also did a little straightening in the living room. Overall, I'm feeling rather accomplished.

Well, much did come up as I was on my knees on the bathroom floor arm deep in green water scrubbing out the bathtub. Cleaning is kinda therapeutic - something about getting high off of the Lysol fumes must trigger that need to explore one's headnoise. Interesting stuff came up. Perhaps I'll share a bit later when I'm not so batshit crazy about the general state of the house.
