kjpepperIt's forty degrees (F) out there, and even though I didn't really want to be out there hauling trash (who does, really?) I was perfectly happy to be out there in T-shirt sleeves. How did the association between cops and donuts get started anyway?
I wonder if behind every overplayed god-awful irritating cover that somehow goes into heavy rotation on the radio there is a beautiful heartbreakingly sweet original? I've been on a rediscovery kick lately, and today's chanson du jour is the original Dolly Parton "I Will Always Love You." With just Dolly's baby doll voice and a few soft guitars and completely devoid of the smack-me-upside-the-head-with-an-18-wheeler quality of the Whitney Houston version, this song is now on my list of songs that make me bawl my eyes out.
