Yesterday was good - we wandered downtown again and hit a few more places... [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat and I introduced [livejournal.com profile] booboo_berr to Ben and Bills Chocolate Emporium and were subsequently very amused by her reaction to biting into one of their fist sized truffles after we left... (she basically stopped dead in the middle of the sidewalk from yum.) We also hit Faces, Broadside (where we ran into the very handsome [livejournal.com profile] transversely and the adorable [livejournal.com profile] rumorofrain) and hid from the rain in Dunkin donuts for girl chat. After which [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat went out with [livejournal.com profile] morlock, and we continued down the hill to Oh My, where books were bought and lots of fun chat was had.

Last night we knew we were in for four hours straight of TV so we grabbed [livejournal.com profile] anzovin and went to Halt and Buy for party food, plus supplies for [livejournal.com profile] morlock's fried chicken extravaganza. [livejournal.com profile] morlock doesn't cook for the family often, but when he does it is almost painfully delicious. Like I said to him later, it's like having your arteries clogged with pure love. :D Plus the finale of American Gladiators was wicked fun. Knight Rider was pretty damn great too. I'm bummed that they had to switch out Will Arnett at the last minute, but felt that Val Kilmer did a fabulous job with KITT's voice and general attitude. I need to find the updated Knight Rider theme, it ruled. And little non general plot related spoiler ) Overall it got a B+, which considering the general silliness of the source material, is a damn good grade. And I kinda hope it gets picked up.

This morning after hitting Beader's Paradise (yes! it's open again! except it's Web's Beads now! And they're moving down by Webs at the end of march! You know, if anyone was wondering) for replacement captive beads (we'd both lost one each, and we both now have a bunch of semiprecious replacements) I walked her down to the bus so she could go home. But it's certainly not going to be her last visit. We were already planning what to do on her next trip out.

Went home, treated myself to an amazing carrot muffin with cream cheese frosting on the way, and then got into bed with a sleepy morlock for snuggles and a little bit of sleeping. Spent the rest of the day on the couch sleeping on and off cause I crashed sorta hard. :)

So... good weekend.

Next weekend, keeping up with the Joneses.
