(no subject)

Watching Totally 80s on VH1 classic... Okay the 80s were terrifying (Flock of Seagulls anyone?), but IMO the Black 80s were exponentially more so. I mean, take Klymaxx ... THE HAIR. I have no words and remembered trauma of my sisters sporting similar helmet-like monstrosities while I thankfully was still wearing braids and huge ball ended elastics.

Sudden urge to watch Coming To America again. Why the hell do I only own that on VHS?

In other I totally heart VH1 classic news, I have most shamelessly been filling the DVR with episodes of Pop-Up Video. Yay. :)

2008 Northampton Pride

Today started out gray and ick and I suppose waking up in a foul mood didn't help things. A bunch of us were supposed to go to the Pride parade this morning and at first I really didn't feel like going: sundart managed to convince me. So five of us holed up atop the railroad bridge spanning Rt. 9 not far from the house, and watched the festivities from there.

I really need to take the hatemonger for walkies more - I still haven't quite gotten the hang of configuring the white balance for outside shots yet, and as a result, a bunch of these got pretty washed out (I took like 200 of them; note to self - go two or three notches DOWN from what the monitor says). Also, I need a better zoom lens, damn it. Still, got some fun pictures out of it nonetheless.
