Jun. 24th, 2008 02:46 pmWhere else can you send someone a message that's essentially "o hai, I went 2 kindergarten w/u - do u remember me?" and not look like a random internet crazy? And even better get a message back a few hours later of "HAY yeah! How've u been?" as if your last conversation was last week instead of almost a quarter century ago?
Seriously, this week has been a parade of people I haven't seen or talked to or even really thought about in decades. 25 years ago I was just a baby, only a bit older than this icon, and so were all my friends. And now here we are, grown up, with interests, families, whole lives. Weird how that happens... and kinda freakishly cool that long lapsed connections can instantly be made again with the powers of Los Intartubes.
