There is a measure of grim satisfaction about having managed to get a buttload of cleaning plus a little cardio done despite it being hot and soupy. Way I figure it, I can lay around the house and be hot and sweaty, or I can actually feel like I earned the hot and sweaty and get something productive done.

Seriously, I have a thing about sweating for no goddamn reason.

I have a bruise on my thigh. I don't know how it got there. I'm annoyed cause I never used to get random bruises until the blood thinner.

Kinda horribly depressed today, but I'm sort of beating myself into doing stuff despite it, rather than laying around watching DVRed Modern Marvels and moping.

Off to shower, and then in a little bit off to Target to actually buy that shoe organizer I talked myself out of buying yesterday. I look forward to not having a gigantic pile of shoes in the dining room anymore.

Any reservations I had about investing in bits of furniture that improves the well being of the house in general were banished upon beholding the site of neatly organized shoes quietly living on and around their own little shoe cubbies instead of the six foot diameter pile that was slowly taking over the living room. Craziness, how much floorspace we suddenly have in there.

I did lots of good work today - the first floor is tidy, as is my room, all the rugs are vacuumed, hell I even tidied up a little in morlock's room and put the bits of my bedframe that aren't broken away in the bathroom closet... so I need to go somewhere and sternly remind myself that the little voices that are trying to tell me I've accomplished absolutely nothing are not ones I want to be paying attention to right now.

So [livejournal.com profile] nounsandverbs mentioned Charlie and the Chocolate Factory in his last post, and my brain hitched on that, and decided to attach that idea to another one and to make a long story short, I have Oompa Loompas in my head singing about Augustus Gloop to the tune of "Spiderman, Spiderman..." except more the "Spiderpig, Spiderpig" version from the simpson's movie, so I've got this image of Homer holding Augustus Gloop up to make him walk on the cieling and then noticing that Augustus has a Wonka Bar and going "Mmmm, golden ticket... *drool*" and stealing it... and leaving Marge, Bart and some very confused Ooompa Loompas in his wake. And then Maggie takes out her pacifier and offers it to Augustus, who gratefully takes it and starts sucking on it.

..............yeah, I think it's bedtime now.
