Hey, I forgot about that

Rosie Cotton, and most loved of Samwise Gamgee. You
are sensible, and caring, but would prefer to
not see too much change. If it isn't broken
afterall, why fix it?
Ugh, awful day, just bleh all around. Okay, it wasn't all that awful except that I didn't settle down to get shit done until about 4pm. I've decided that my laptop is evil and distracting and needs to die (hence perhaps "Little Beavis" is the appropriate name for it?). At least when I was still borrowing Austin's compy there was a limit to how long I could spend on it jerking around. Feh. Oh. Word to the wise. popcap.com is evil too. I discovered Rocket Mania this morning. *facepalm* <British accent>Roiiiiiiight.</British accent>
Ah well one good thing about today is that I discovered that I have one complete outfit that makes me look like a sixteen year old hooker. *paws mirror* You know, the sort of outfit your mother would NEVER let you out of the house wearing, especially at night? All I can say is who knew a crocheted completely see-through sweater, a plaid skirt, thigh-high fishnets and ankle boots looked so good on me? *sings* "I looked over to the left/Mmm, I was looking so good I couldn't reject myself/I looked over to the left/Mmm, I was feeling so good I had to touch myself/I looked over to the left/Mmm, I was eyein my thighs butter pecan brown/I looked over to the left/Mmm, comin outta my shirt and then the skirt came down..."
Anyway. I managed to distract the little ADHD kid in my head by promising that she could do something fun while the pathetically ignorable responsible person did her homework. That (plus three cans of red bull; jeezus, I'm wired right now) seemed to have done the trick, as I've managed to work pretty steadily since. Plus it was a good excuse to revel in some fun mail that came for me today...
Can I just say I love half.com? holy shit, there is a cornucopia of good cheap movies out there! I found Jeffrey, one of my all time faves, for 75 cents. (plus $2 and change shipping, ha!) BTW, everyone should see this movie if you haven't already. It's worth it to see Patrick Stewart flame and nance about gleefully. Anyway, I ordered it a few days ago and considering the seller was in Amherst it got here this afternoon so of course I had to put it on and have myself a giggle.
I forgot about the whole thing about working with the TV on. We used to do that at Smith. Background noise. I should continue to do that this evening, and then I would really get scheiße done. :) The trick is put on a movie you're familiar enough with that you can kinda just tune out the exposition and look up during the parts you like, smile, and go back to what you were doing.
Ah well. I'll pick something and keep working. I'll let y'alls know how much I manage to watch and/or get done. *sigh* Fuck me for goofing off all week. Ah well, this is me, Madame La Last Fucking Minute. I'm not a chaos goddess for nothing, you know.
