Several years ago I took an English class called Shakespeare and Film. One of the things we had to watch was the Kurasawa version of Macbeth (Throne of Blood), featuring probably the most amusing subtitling ever, considering it was Shakespeare translated into Japanese translated back into English. The movie itself was great, Kurasawa being Kurasawa and all, but the subtitling was knockdown drag-out funny. Which probably detracted from the cinematic experience quite a bit.
Anyway. There are entire web sites devoted to what happens when you carelessly translate English to Japanese and then back, resulting in something called "Engrish." Though the name makes me kinda squick, the results are massively funny.

I wonder if this has been done with other languages?
