reflecting padishah Do U Think U Still... - This was the first time I'd seen the word "padishah" outside of the context of a Frank Herbert novel. Considering I don't think my junk mail concerns the spice trade, for logs and guffaws, I looked it up. Apparently it's a title given to members of the royal families of Turkey and Iran. Go figure. Still not sure what it's doing in my junk mail box though.

hockey player gonads over 05 - Well, I hope the gonads are over five. We wouldn't want a thriving trade in immature gonads. and why hockey players specifically? Is it because they come pre-refrigerated? The world may never know.

no shit, right? I went through a seriously ridiculous Dune phase around 10th grade or so, and read stright through until hitting the Herbert wall halfway through Chapterhouse. I've reread the first Dune several times, but other than occasionally referring back to one interesting sex scene in Heretics, I haven't really revisited the rest of the series. Heh. I guess there was a reason why we ended up in Bill Oram's class, eh?

Great, now I wanna go watch the movie. Nothing like watching a ridiculously young Sting prance around in metal underpants to lift a girl's mood.

I read all of them last winter into summer. Even made it through Chapterhouse. Muahaha. I also have reread Dune, but haven't gone through the other ones of yet (save a review when I watched Sci-Fi's remarkably good Children of Dune last year).
