Ice cream trucks are satanic. I'd put myself down for a most refreshing afternoon siesta around 3 only to be awakened by what would be the lilting strains of "Turkey in the Straw" except the damn contraption's music box was malfunctioning because the tune was definitely missing a few notes in the higher register. It doesn't exactly help that today I actually kind of want some crapass ice cream except I don't dare even think about dairy products lest my lower intestine decides to wring itself out like a wet dishcloth again. I'm feeling a major craving for an ice cream sandwich of some sort. Damn I love those...

Seriously, one of these days you're going to see me in News of the Weird or on TV. "Enraged Woman attacks ice cream truck with cinderblock! More at 11."

The hitcher I picked up on my way to work Thursday morning told me that he was the driver for the local ice cream truck...and I couldn't help remembering that this was the guy responsible for the tinny notes of "Camptown Races" intruding upon my self-love that one time.
