HEY, YOU GUYS!!!
Jul. 3rd, 2004 03:09 amThe Goonies is a faaaaar better movie in a sold out theater of 250. even if the A/C cuts out halfway through the movie because the entire theater's on timers and the last shows usually end round 12ish.
before the show,
sundart and I went to dinner at Pizzeria Paradiso, which we'd only been too once before. OMG, yum! Yay individual make yer own thin crust pizza, squee! And just because I was feeling adventurous I decided to try Steel Rail. Decided I like it better than Bass Ale. It's kinda scary, I'm developing a taste for beer finally. *sigh* Probably not a good thing, as I have the tolerence of a gnat. I only got through 3/4s of a glass and I was already a little loose and silly.
Goonies, as I mentioned was fun.
beatgoddess,
sundart and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Dave ran this contest where eleven people got to compete for free Goonies DVDs if they did either "HEY YOU GUYS!" or the Truffle Shuffle. Pff. I scoff at both sets of people really. I can do "HEY YOU GUYS!" better than all of them, and all of the truffle shuffle contestants were waaaaaaaaaay too skinny to make it convincing. Bah. But jeez. For a movie that came out nearly 20 years ago, the print was beautiful. No major scratches or pops. And how have I seen this movie three million times and a) completely missed the fact that Joe Pantoliano was the other Fratelli brother and b) Chunk was Jewish? Jeez, I'm clueless.
Should go to bed now. I'm dead tired, but somehow I don't want to sleep. I don't know why this always happens to me in the summertime... but it probably has something to do with the fact that I never had a bedtime during the summer and would just basically run wild like a cat until I ran out of energy and conked out where I happened to be at the time. Which is all well and good and probably what I would do now except I work mornings. *chuckle*
