Mabon!

sundart came into the house with a mischievous look and her hands behind her back. She then exclaimed "Happy Mabon" and presented me with a pomegranate.

I do have this tradition about the "yearly pomegranate." I love these things, but I only have one a year, right around this time.

I spent an hour and a half carefully shelling this thing, picking each seed out whole and dropping it into a cup. And after each seed had been pulled from the fruit I discarded the rinds and ate by the handful. So sweet and crunchy and good.
