Dazzlingly clear skies out there, a crescent moon that would make the cheshire cat grin with pure joy, low hanging wispy red clouds blowing across the sky, and allegedly there will be auroras in MA tonight through the ninth. I keep poking my head out the window looking for them. It's a lovely night too. Though we're due for an extremely cold snap fairly soon, it is warm enough outside that I barely noticed I was out in the driveway barefoot with nothing on save my bathrobe. The wind feels nice too. And allegedly Venus and Jupiter are having quite the rendezvous around dawn. That plus the various extreme sources of caffiene I've had make staying up tonight quite the yummy prospect.
Damn it, I need a telescope. Maybe I should ask for one for christmas - goodness knows I spend enough time staring into the sky. Although I'll bet if I look next time I'm in NY I could find my old one somewhere in that house. In brand new condition - I think we used it the last time Halley's comet went by and that was really it, considering you can't see shit for stars in the city.
