Neighborhoods' gone to the rodents.

I was on my way to work (and already kinda late) when I passed my neighbor's... and saw something so funny I had to go back and get my camera. Luckily the little guys were still at it when I came back. Yep, there are two squirrels in that picture. Follow the little fat one's gaze upwards, and you'll see his little friend happily muching away on someone's maize garland. whilst hanging upside down by his feet.
"mmmm, you really oughta try this..."

"Hey, Sparky! What the hell ya doing up there? You wanna get caught?"

"Cant talk. Eating."
so cute. Seriously the squirrels around here are so fat they'd basically get around much faster by rolling than trying to scamper. Foamy would be ashamed, I think.
Other than that moment of squeeage, today was sort of meh. Good day at work, though I'd been feeling kinda bloated, sluggish and cranky from no sleep and eating crap, and I think I'm gonna bleed soon cause I've suddenly gone up a cup size overnight. Owie. McDonalds for lunch SO didn't help - it's just making me worse. Think i'm going to go lie down for a bit and moan.

Date: 2004-11-29 09:27 pm (UTC)But why is the maize gone?
Date: 2004-11-29 09:38 pm (UTC)Then one day we found the basement stash. My mother had a huge old electric typewriter under a vinyl cover. And filling the space around the keys -- not the keyboard keys, but the actual metal keys that strike the ink ribbon -- were countless kernels of dog food.
The attic mystery was solved when I moved out: I'd had a comforter stored up there, and when I pulled it from its zip-up bag, Indian corn husks went flying all over my new bedroom. (My parents had one of those maize garlands, too.)
