Today was fraught with a collection of minor annoyances that can be summed up as follows:
  1. My digestive system hates me.

  2. Yes Computers is freshly out of iPod power supplies. Gits. (Except for [livejournal.com profile] stormcloud.)

  3. Once again I have bought a pair of gloves only for them not to be in my pocket when I need them. I'm going to have to put them on a string and thread them through the back of my coat like you do with kindergarteners.

  4. Keys still missing.

  5. I hate my hair. Let's just leave it at "I'm having a black girl issue."

  6. Left my celly at work again - had to walk back through downtown to get it.

  7. Head hurty. And it's not dehydration - I've swapped the coffee for buckets of water and the occasional tea.

  8. It's trash night, and I don't think we have cat litter.

  9. I'm starting to get massive cases of the lazys. The starting point and the destinations are fine, but I have no patience for the journeys anymore. And fun as they are, I really can't afford to be keeping Northampton Taxi afloat singlehandedly. ;P

    1. Related to the above. I'm supposed to be going out tonight. Which is great, but there's the little problem of getting myself there.

  10. I'd also apparently double-booked my evening, as I'd mentioned a possible Pam Grier movie night to [livejournal.com profile] beatgoddess in celebration of Kwanzaa. Unfortunately, tonight's the only night she's going to be home before running off to creature-sit for [livejournal.com profile] darkling_dreams. Between trash and her running around, it probably wasn't such a good idea anyway, but I'm still somewhat disappointed and thoroughly pissed at myself.

  11. alas, no [livejournal.com profile] sundart to complain to, as she's out tonight with [livejournal.com profile] anzovin.
Honestly... I kinda just want to curl up somewhere and either sleep for a week or read the two vampire novels I've started. Maybe then I'll feel better.

Which reminds me... to end this otherwise thoroughly cranky entry on an up, or at least amusing note (wonder if I'm PMSing?), the tastly bit of literary consumer therapy I got today remided me of a conversation with [livejournal.com profile] sundart I had recently about hardcover books. I take the dust jackets off of them while I'm reading, and it drives her n-v-t-s nuts. It's cause they generally piss me off, being an extra bit of paper that's sliding around and being all distracting. I think I basically said that dust jackets were book foreskin... and considering I want to read my books, not jack them off, I prefer them "circumcised."

ugh. Time to find headache pills.
