ice cream and poetry last night was fun. It was rather interesting having just about all of the family in one room at once! beat &

ginousha were there for a bit, and also

inle_rah,

gossamer_gull, the Wonderquad and... ha ha, poor

anzovin. :) I wonder if he knew he was under inspection. Also two members of

sundart's writer's group for good measure. And there was ice cream. And nonpareil sprinkles. I don't know why I am so enchanted with the concept of tiny ass balls of sugary food colored goodness, but I am and I was very happy with how they turned my ice cream purple.

I think all poetry nights should feature Vogon poetry and some obligatory Poe. Not to mention very silly magnetic poems using the words "ding-a-ling" "psychiatrist" "bourgeousie" and other strange words that probably don't make it into actual poetry much.

Still a little touch and go personally. I was fine during the party due to the grace of extreme sugar high and good vibes for everyone, but I did end up crashing rather hard. It probably didn't help that

acatnamedfat had an attack of the squirtybutts that

sundart and I had to clean up before she rubbed her ass on anything or anyone (ew). Plus a couple of other little things happened that just kinda drove me into bed with a book rather than rejoining the party after I was supposed to leave. I wound up asleep by 10:45.
