Is it just me or is a) super bowl sunday getting later and later as the years go on (they're in February now? wha?) and b) is Lent/Easter getting earlier and earlier?

Well, one silly thing that's staying in a pretty consistent place in the year - VD Day, as my sisters used to call it. It's on a Monday this year... :P So far no real plans, as I told sundart she could spend hers with anzovin, and there was some talk of going to the tubs with the Wonderquad but according to a bit of convo I overhead beatgoddess having, East Heaven is jacking up their prices that weekend in the name of love. So I'm kinda at loose ends.

But I've got plenty of backlogged mix CDs to make... hmmm.

i thougth lent/easter was determined on something other than the date...like ramadan.

and the super bowl *is* getting later, because they want to be able to have prime time ont he east and west coast. even tho its an east coast game and no one out west will care. or ever care cause all the teams are usually from the east or midwest.

the date of ash wednesday rotates. according to Wikipedia:

"It occurs forty days before Easter not counting Sundays (which are not included in Lent); it occurs forty-four days before Good Friday counting Sundays. Its placement varies each year, according to the date of Easter. The date can vary from early February to as late as the second week in March."

this is about the earliest it can possibly come, by sheer coincidence. can't vouch for the super bowl, tho.
