*headdesk*
Feb. 9th, 2005 10:21 pmDear JCPenney,
"99 Luftballons", even though it loses some of its edge when translated into English, is NOT a romantic song appropriate for pushing pink and red fluffy Valentines' day merchadise. It's a song about something innocuous setting off a NUCLEAR WAR ferfuck'ssake.
Get your head out of your asses and listen to the lyrics of the songs you co-opt, damn it. While you're at it, fire your marketing department. Any person who thought this was a good idea probably also used the Police's "Every Breath You Take" for their wedding.
Sincerely,
KJ
