I've been managing to knock back about 68 oz (2 liters) of water per workday (I'm still hopeless during the weekend). basically I've set these reminders on my work compy to go off every 2 hours, and then I drink one of those .5L bottles of poland spring. Also due to these charming little reminders, I've also been keeping up with my fiber intake. I suppose any progress towards doing things that are good for me is a vastly good thing.

I've been trying to cut my sugar consumption quite a bit too. There is Splenda aplenty in the office, so I really can't justify putting an assload of sugar in my coffee in the morning other than it helps me go from shuffling code-zombie to human being. Still working on that. But I'm trying to avoid candy... and it sort of helps that I've lost my taste for anything other than M&Ms, and even those are too sweet lately. 'Course, there's always the evil soda... but they make diet coke with Splenda now and it actually tastes like coke instead of chemical nast, so maybe a solution to that problem is in sight. Of course, that flies in the face of my belief that they shouldn't make diet low fat atkins friendly versions of anything remotely unhealthy, cause then what's the point of eating it? Somehow I've always felt that eating diet candy, cookies and soda was cheating. More so than having an actual cookie or a soda in its full caffienated high fructose corn syrupy glory. Y'know, what people usually call cheating.

Anyway, enough babbling. Gotta get lunch and actually work now.
