Aug. 11th, 2005 09:19 pmThe hills were alive with the smell of paving tar today. With roads they have laid for... well, at least three hundred years. I'm sure State Street's been around about that long. But GAH. at least that project is over, and may we at work never have to smell it again. ew.
aisha7576 has arrived safe and sound, the kitties like her, as does sunny, and I think her visit is off to a fine start. Course when you start with dinner at Taipei and Tokyo, how can it not? :)
So I obtained the last copy of Cranium from
spacecrime today. It's a little sacriligious to say so, but I don't really think I'll miss them as much as I thought I would. For one thing, the store sorta lost something when they moved over to Strong Avenue last year, and... dunno, Chris and Deb haven't seemed to really be all into the whole store thing since the baby. Kids really do change things I guess.
I want to post a little about transitions of life, but sunny wanted to make a long involved post about that, so I'll wait until she's done. But this idea's been poinging around my head lately - would I make a good mother? Don't worry, I'm not spawning anytime soon, just been thinking. Before, the answer was always a very vehement NO but now... I wonder. People have told me that it's always the people who have reservations and concerns going in that do better than those who breed utterly convinced of their own fitness to parent, but I'm not so sure about that... I still think I'm too full of the crazy to have kids, but... gah, can't think about this any more.
Anyhoo, must run, have guest to entertain! :)
