Ow, shin splints, ow ow ow.

As it is [livejournal.com profile] gossamer_gull's last Tuesday off, she, [livejournal.com profile] inle_rah, [livejournal.com profile] ladygwyn and I went off to Haven for one last time. (We were hoping to convince sundart to go too, but she had silly things to do like get a good night's sleep.) Seeing as I was heading out to the club, [livejournal.com profile] primitive_boy lent me another of his little leather baubles, this time a white spiked collar which looked supersweeeeeet against my summer tan . . . I didn't bother doing anything with my hair except put the requested white rabbit barrette into it (Thanks [livejournal.com profile] beatgoddess!), which means that I went to Haven with my hair 'froing all over the hizzouse. Got quite a few compliments on both 'fro and collar. :)

g.g. was indeed dressed up very very slutty, and made the rounds of the club offering people the dark hershey's kisses in her bag. She got through them all too. [livejournal.com profile] inle_rah showed me a new dance too, which shall heretofore be known as the bobble dance. hee hee. booble bobble booble bobble one of us one of us . . . *smack* Hmm, must be getting sleepy.

The night started out weird. Mostly because I couldn't get my groove on in the dinosaur.* Usually my center of gravity is in my hips but today it felt like I was dancing from the chest or higher. Then I learned the hard way why you can't swirly dance in hiking boots. Hence the shin splints. ow. So I decide to save the dancing for songs I really liked. Unfortunately for my legs, there was a lot of good stuff that I knew and liked, so I wound up dancing a lot anyway. Actually what was kinda fucked up was that they were playing quite a few songs [livejournal.com profile] sundart and I have been obsessing over lately. Panzermensch.Time Killer. And then . . . there was the New Order (Bizarre Love Triangle) followed by Wolfsheim (something I hadn't heard before but kicked major ass) followed by Fictional (Blue Lights) moment with droolworthy transitions (universe to Andee . . .). Three more songs of note were hearing a cruxshadows song for the first time in a while, rediscovering that I'm absolutely crazy about that song and finally knowing what the title is (Deception) as well as getting to enjoy the Gothic Riverdance that ensued on the floor for a minute or so, a cover of Crazy by the kidney thieves (somehow I don't think that's what Patsy Cline had in mind), NIN's perfect Drug . . . and discovering that if you do the breathey-breathe thing with Depeche Mode on Personal Jesus while dancing, you don't hyperventilate. Also to my surprise, they played one of my favorite songs to sit around and feel sorry for myself to (Portishead's Wandering Star) which was neat because this time I got to dance to it instead.

hmm. I sense mix tape in the making? I owe four or five people some of those.

Good fun was had by all . . . and even though at some points I was dancing with ghosts of my own making, I had a great time. But I am going to be so SORE tomorrow!

some Kazaa, I think, then bed.

*I was asleep at the keyboard when I typed this. Left it in because it's amusing. I think I meant dance floor.

When I come to visit

I was thinking of having Monty bring his brother Bobby's ID when we came up so that he could get into Haven. This would make him 19 or 20. The only problem is that he CANNOT have it confiscated. (His brother Bobby is dead) What do you think we should do?
