boondocks, ep 1
Nov. 12th, 2005 02:46 amWatched The Boondocks on the Friday Night Fix again (I think that's going to become a bit of a habit - then again I'm usually up for some reason in the middle of the night - this time I had just happened to get up and pee.) Seems like the show's getting tighter, which makes me happy cause this show's got quite a bit of potential that it's not quite up to yet. Anyway this one was way better than the pilot. :)
Highlights and spoilers
- Squeeee! Jazmine!! She didn't get to talk or anything, but goddamn she cute.
- Granddad completely misunderstanding what a golden shower is.
- "White folks are a joy to be around, all smellin like lemon and Pledge furniture polish." Riiiiiight.
- Huey's last voice over about taking care of the people, even if they are goddamn annoying.
- "Granddad, can you take us to the R Kelly trial?" "No. But you can walk." "That's 40 miles!" "Well, what did I spend all that money on Nikes for? You better just do it."
- Seems like Regina King's getting better at voicing the boys, though they still sound a little too alike to me.
- Revertilago. Riiiiiiiiight.
- I'm still boggled by how good the animation is. They really spared no expense making this show, which makes me wicked happy. I hope it survives... and improves.
Right, back to bed. Yes, I stayed up just to watch The Boondocks. Bite me.
