kjpepperA fairly uneventful Sunday, though I can't say it wasn't productive. Spent much of my compy time today working on a project that I'd promised to get up and running some time ago. I'm having lots of fun learning new and exciting things about PHP in the meantime. like a handy little one line function that very helpfully strips all of the annoying backslashes out of posted data. That's been plaguing my haiku page since the beginning and I felt very pleased to finally fix that. Also learned a couple of other one line functions that made my little heart leap with delight. This may be it, everyone, I may have found the language I can actually program in without it killing my soul. Like yay!

beatgoddess's sexybeast is purring along happily with its new CD burner. which I installed yesterday morning, as zadnyl wanted to take some of our music home with her. Easiest install I ever did. I simply slid the dead DVD/CD-RW out, unscrewed the green tabs holding it in, screwed them to the new CD-RW (we have a seperate DVD player now so the DVD-ROM wasn't so big of a priority) and slid it in. The computer is acting like it hasn't noticed the difference. Bizarre. But now the family can burn CDs. Thank goodness!
Does anyone know where I can land meself a full install (not an upgrade) of win98? Master Freak is hurting for a drive wipe and reinstall. hmm, perhaps I'll look on ebay.
In non-computer related news, the leather partybeatgoddess was hosting last night seemed to go pretty well. They got a fairly good turnout, and it looked like people were having fun if a bit too shy to do any actual playing. beatgrrl mentioned that a couple more such parties may be in the works, and she would like some assistance with the demos the next time around, as well as general help around the party. So I volunteered. Hey, I know how good I look in Primitive Leather stock. Oh, the lack of spending money . . . *sigh*
Time to bop off and do something else now. :)
