kjpepperdragonsea.net, or more correctly, its web host drak.net (Blue hosting in a Red State baby!), has a few interesting web site statistics features. One of my favorites is the Recent Visitors section, which I like to go to after posting an image into LJ because it will then give me anytime anyone's seen it since I posted it along with the referrers (ie - you.livejournal.com/friends - you people check yours an awful lot. What are you, bored?). I also got a very long list of ever single script running that tracks anytime someone posts a picture to LJ. (THERE ARE A CRAPTON.)
It also gives me a comprehensive list of who is hotlinking images off my site(s) at this time. *Mr. Burns fingers*
To be quite honest, even with the traffic going to the I Feel Sick fansite I did years ago (still the most popular thing on Dragonsea) C and I are in NO danger of maxing our bandwidth at all ever. I also am fully cogniscent of how to turn off image hotlinking on our server, but a) I post a lot of my own stuff, and b) again, I'm in no danger of maxing, so I don't really care. But every so often I feel the need to teach the worst culprits a lesson in basic netiquette. Especially when they are adolescent dipshits with a myspace account that couldn't web design their way out of a paper bag. I will not be privy to such awfulness, even indirectly.
But I will spend half an hour photoshopping the most horribly ugly graphics ever to replace the images hotlinked. *evil grin* CAUSE I'M AN ASSHAT.
