There were multiple occurances of this scenario today, so I felt it warrented posting.

[Person X (which has so far been the cashier at State Street, Bosslady and one co-worker) sees kjpepper dressed in blouse (complete with necklace accentuated cleavage!), purple tights, stripy socks, granny boots and long black skirt instead of usual grungy jeans t-shirt and sweater.]

Person X: Wow you look so nice today! What's the occasion?
kjpepper: I need to do laundry.

I love it when people say, "You look nice today." and I hear, "You normally look like crap." =) Of course, the last time I wore a skirt, at least two people commented that it must be laundry day. Heh. Guess I'm just not that girly, huh?

One of the most recent comments I've received about my clothing was from a co-worker. She said, "You've worn black two days in a row. That's not like you!" I was kind of stunned. I decided I'd better wear black for the rest of the week, so they wouldn't revoke my goth license....
