I actually woke up with the quote from the book but all I could find to paste in was the corresponding lines from the 1982 movie. Course, then I found out that a live action remake's in pre-production, which I suppose is cool, since Beagle is writing the script and stuff. Still, I think once I'm done with Mirror Mirror, the time's come to reread the book... it's been long enough.
But I digress... my brain has officially declared today Depressing Quotations Day or something, because immediately following the above came the voice of Michael Caine with the adage, "In this shit life, you have to chuck some things" from The Weather Man.
*sigh* We're off to a good start.
