So yesterday was Pride. :) I fid it amusing that I get paid to be there, wrangling the truck, or the dogs, or trying to keep the balloons from escaping. Plus its fun tossing tennis balls to the parents of kids and dogs. Sometimes both.

Pride was in a different venue this year (the armory street lot as opposed to the park behind Smith's physplant). I dunno... I think i liked the park better, though having it in town probably was good for local business. Me, it just made me miss the Taste of Northampton.

Saw all of the usual suspects, including [livejournal.com profile] beatgoddess and zir lolita, plus zir parents, all looking very happy. Did not see [livejournal.com profile] transversely, which kinda made me sad. Sweetie, you must come see us sometime up at [livejournal.com profile] quadtower! And I was helped out with the ball tossing by [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat, and then we were later joined by [livejournal.com profile] anzovin (looking dashing in an interlocking female symbol t-shirt) and M for chinese food and general homosociality.

Spent much of the rest of the evening being allergic to everything and sleeping, though I did get up to watch the first half or so of Jeffrey with [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat and [livejournal.com profile] htl_1126, and then went to the diner with [livejournal.com profile] morlock for dinner. spent much of the diner trip chatting with [livejournal.com profile] lysscat and laughing at the table of tattooed white kids ordering popular rap music and having one of those conversations that made me wish there was an "Overheard in the Valley" comm or web site. Case in point, they were talking about taking one of their friends to a strip club, and one of them ripostes with "Has he even seen boobs other than Lara Croft's?" Thank heavens I wasn't drinking at the time. We were also treated to several demonstrations of booty shaking by one of the guys.... the scary thing is I think all of them were sober.

Today I pretty much spent doing nothing, but it was mostly good nothing. finished reading Coyote Blue, thus making it all the way through [livejournal.com profile] sydneycat's Christopher Moore collection. Caught up with the latest two episodes of Avatar. I swear I love that show more with every episode, and the newest character is really neat. And I curled up with morlock and slept. a lot. sydmor's apatment is a lot less with the itchy making than ours is. Overall I think the allergies are abating somewhat, but that might be the cocktail of loratadine, decongestant, benadryl and ibuprofen I'm taking about once every 8 ish hours.

No class tomorrow... I think instead I'll practice my moves for a while when i get home.
